First images and audio for my project

Because there are more than one way how people get scars I needed to choose which ones I will be using for my project, because mixing everything together would be too much of everything. I chose to look into scars from accidents and scars from operations. I already knew a few people, who have such scars and I have a scar from appendectomy myself. The self harm ones are interesting as well, but with the time scale that we have for this module it would be very hard to find a lot of people, who would allow me to take images and record them. 

For the first images I borrowed from the store ring flash, macro lens and audio recorder. These are the very first two images of scars that I took:

The other two people that I shot was my sister that has a scar from when she was less than a year old and my brother in law that has a scar from when he was teenager.

Due to the fact that they are Lithuanian and english language is second, the audio doesn't sound as natural as I would like it to be. Even though I really like the images and scars look really interesting, after having a crit I decided not to use these scars in my final piece. Moreover, for the scar on the shoulder I used light from the side, because ring lash flattened the scar it was hardly seen, but different lighting helped to bring it and the images itself looks nicer with such light. 

My last scar from that day was of women who had sterilisation done. That is the image:

After having a crit everybody agreed that this story is the strongest one and should focus on only shooting scars from operations. Which meant that I won't be using the very first scar as well. And also I needed to find a way of getting more people for my project.
